Procedure Overview

The method is based on a competitive colorimetric ELISA assay. The nitroimidazole antibody has been coated in the platewells. During the analysis, sample is added along with the nitroimidazole -horseradish peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. If the target is present in the sample, it willcompete for the nitroimidazoleantibody, thereby preventing the nitroimidazole-HRP from binding to the antibody attachedto the well. The resulting color intensity, afteraddition of substrate((TMB), has an inverse relationship with the targetconcentration in the sample.
